UN General Assembly has recognized 2015 as the International Year of Light recognized the importance of raising global awareness about how light-based technologies promote sustainable development and provide solutions to global challenges in energy, education, agriculture and health.

The schoolorganized an event bringing together different stakeholders – students, teachers, parents, other schools, industry experts (guest lecturers).

Teachers encouraged students to research on evolution of light, key discoveries & latest inventions.

Students did 3 experiments each on concepts of Light, based on their age. They take home the experiment models built during the session & demonstrate to parents.

Butterfly Fields conducts interactive demonstrations with students & teachers to discuss additional concepts of light, conduct quizzes & trigger higher order thinking (HOTS).

Prizes were handed out to students who innovated in the experiments.
