Table of 21

Table 21 is a 21-time table containing 21 repetitions. 21 is multiplied by a natural number starting at 1 and it can be continued.

In schools, we begin to learn about math multiplication tables from the lower classes. These mathematical tables basically give the value of repeated additions to a number. Similarly, the 21 mathematical table adds the number 21 repeatedly.

You can write and hang a multiplication chart in your room to get the right reference. Memorizing tables helps increase your confidence in solving multiplication and division problems easily.

The Table of 21 helps to identify the pattern of multiplication, to identify it as 21 repeated repetitions and to understand it as 21 equal groups.

Memorization Tips and Tips to understand Table of 21

Memorizing table 21 is an easy task!

Note: 21 × 2 and 2 × 21 are equal.

The ones digit of a multiplication table of 21 equals the natural number multiplied by. For Example: 21 x 4 is 84.

The pattern for table 21 is that the digits in place of the units are sequential (if we continue with their multiplication). For example: 21, 42, 63, 84, 105, etc.

We can get a product of 21 by any number starting with a multiplication of 20 and then 1. Then add the products. For example: 21 times 12 = (20 times 12) + (1 times 12) = 240 + 12 = 252 and 21 times 28 = (20 × 28) + (1 × 28).

Examples to Understand

Example 1: Using the table of 21 , check 21times 8 subtract 9 plus 7.

Solution: Let’s express this statement mathematically.
From table of 21, 21 times 9 subtract 9 added to 7 = 21 × 9 – 9 + 7
 189 – 9 + 7 = 190 – 16
 So 21 times 9 minus 9 plus 7 is 174.

Example 2: Rohan runs 21 miles a week. Using Table of 21, calculate how many miles he would have ran in 12 weeks?

Solution:Using the table of 21, he runs 12 times in 12 weeks.
According to Mathematical representation 12 × 21 = 252 miles.
That’s why Charlie must have ran 252 miles in 12 weeks.

Example 3: Measure 5 and 10 times 21 over 2 using a 21 times table.

Solution:Let us first present the statement given in a mathematical way.
5 plus 10 times 21 by 2 = 5 + 10 × 21 / 2 5 + 210 / 2 = 5 + 105 = 110
So 5 plus 10 times 21 over 2 is 110.
